Sorry to say ... but ... I hate the shopping ... I'm annoyed by the relatives ... the traffics murder ... people irritate me ... and yet I still Love Christmas!

You still have both your parents! Spend Christmas Eve with One & Christmas with the other & alternate every year. Don't want to sit at home - go to a movie with your dad as a new Christmas tradition! Invite him to your place on Christmas Eve! Go camping the week before! Whatever works!

You have to remember, things always change - you can let it tower over you like some tomb stone or you can take charge and make your own new traditions with the people you love!

Best of Luck & Merry Christmas!

For me Christmas is way too commercialized! The idea of spending money every year for people, the chance of getting something for someone they don't like or forgetting someone is a good possibility. I have 9 siblings, 5 nieces and nephews, 4 parents, a husband, Mother and Father in law and a brother in-law, and not to mention cousins.

I hate spending money to begin with and I hate shopping. I am trying to save money for myself to get back on my feet after just getting out of debt due to car repairs!

For me personally, I would be very happy to spend time with my family and have a nice dinner and have a relaxing day. The point is to spend time with loved ones and enjoy each other while be thankful for what we DO have! There are things you cannot buy!

I'm sorry about your parents. I was gonna suggest having a talk with them about how hard it is on you and how you'd like for everyone to get together to make it easier but it sounds like that is not an option. It always helps me when I volunteer at a homeless animal shelter, perhaps there are some volunteer opportunities in your area? Good luck.

I wouldn't say I hate Xmas, but it does get on my nerves. Its shoved in your face from about late September onwards, and by the time it actually arrives ,your doing your nutt. All I do from Sept,is try and save money from my already pitiful budget,to buy gifts, which I actually do like doing, its just that It leaves me so short of cash for everyday stuff. On top of that ,I'm moving house a week before,so I am gonna be well stressed out!!ARRRRRRAGGGGGHHHHH.hope that answers your question..Bah humbug******

I hate Christmas music and specials
Buying gifts really sucks
Getting gifts is not good enough to make up for having to buy them
I like time off though!

my parents havent split, but i hate chirstmas. the meaning of it has went away. it is now a hallmark hoilday. it is silly that its all about the gifts anymore. we have this holiday to celebrate Jesus, not how many gifts you get!
