There could be any number of reasons for your sickness. You could have caught the back-end of a tummy bug, you might have overdone it with heavy/rich/spicy food the day before. Alternatively, the cold water might be a shock to your tummy. Try drinking warm/hot water - the Chinese never drink cold as they believe it to be very bad for your digestion.
I suffered from vomiting (first in the morning, then morning and night, then at random, unexpected times during the day) for about 9 months. We never found out what caused it, but all the doctors I consulted told me it looked like it was stress-related. It could be that - try yoga or tai chi if that's the case.
Another tip: try just sipping water in the mornings, as opposed to chugging a glass full. Hope you're feeling better soon.
xx

Not sure. Don't worry it isn't anything to go to the doctor for. Just wake up drink some orange juice and wait to drink water until the after noon. Does this happen with all liquids you drink in the morning. If then maybe you should go to the doctor. Probably just nausea.

I had the same problem and went to the hospital. My electrolytes
were out of balance and I had to have an IV hooked up to me for several hours.
Try gatorade. The Dr. also put me on pedialite, (tastes horrible) same idea as gatorade which will replenish the electrolytes (so I've been told).
Don't monkey with the situation. Get immediate medical attention.

Well you can't be pregnant!
How about not drinking anything until you have been up for a while?
Maybe you have a stomach virus. If it continues I would see a doctor.

Have you been eating late, before you go to bed? This could upset your stomach as it will not digest as quickly.
