I used to take about 30gm a day but noticed i was becoming restless and not interested in my usual hobbies: reading and writing. I slowly lowered my dose and now i take 100gm a week, but still haven't recovered the "edginess", the inspiration to write.

You need to talk to your doctor about the problems you are having and see if he or she can put you on a different medication. Do not stop taking your prozac all together, you must work yourself off of it or go to a different medication

Get off the Prozac! Artists are SUPPOSED to be depressed. And we are way too medicated of a society anyways.

You should either discontinue using Prozac or ask your doctor or a pharmacist what medication you can take instead. Prozac may be too much for you.

First of all, you should talk to a medical professional before altering your medication dosage...not a good idea to do it on your own.....Honestly, they would be the better ones to ask than us.
(though it might help to exercise and do some yoga or meditation or something)

ShavenLlama has a point. Von Gogh cut his ear off and Hemingway snuffed himself. I've lost my drive with my meds too, but I'm not depressed and can laugh hahaha, see?

Sometime it takes several try's at different Medications before you and your Dr. can find the right one for you.Don't stop your medications before telling with your Dr. first.

Every SSRI that I have ever taken makes me complacent after a while. It just seems to be a side effect that they all share, unfortunately.
