i was wondering if the police can still gibe you a ticket if the people that saw what happened didnt get a plate number?

Did the witnesses know you personally? If they do then yes, maybe you could be charged. If the witness gives a good description of you and a good one of the car (distinctive car for example, ie blue car yellow banana painted on hood) then maybe yes you could be charged.

The witnesses must be able to identify the driver in order for you to be charged solely on their eye witness account.
If the witnesses could only provide a vehicle description and that's it, it will be hard for the police to find you without a plate number. If a witness sees you three days from now and recognizes you and the car and then gives the police your number then yes you could still be charged.

Probably not. Identifying the auto may not be enough since there are many vehicles of the same make, model, and color. If the witness is willing to testify to possitively identifing the driver, then that may be a different story. However, most cases require multiple witnesses since the single witness is considered foulable.

Yes, if there is other evidence. Like an accurate description of your car and a description of you as it's driver. Good luck.
