It can. Some people have allergy to artificial sweeteners, myself included. Symptoms can include headache, nausea, vmoiting, dizziness, confusion, others.

There has been controversy over artificial sweeteners for years. Many conflicting studies have been done on aspartame. The alternative set tend to believe that aspartame is just as bad for a person as refined sugar, but for different reasons. Some refer to aspartame as being neuro-toxic.

Another poster said that caffiene withdrawal can cause headaches. This is definitely true, I can say from experience.

Thats all I got.

Be well.

Certain kinds certainly do cause headaches. I cannot use Equal because the aspartame gives me violent migrane headaches. I can not drink any kind of diet soda or Crystal Light because of the migranes. I can use Sweet-n- Low and Splenda. Thank Goodness for Splenda.

I have no problem with it but it does cause problems for some people. Basically, restricting or avoiding artificial "anything" in your diet is a good plan!
