Like everyone else said, you should start off easy and work your way up. It does take time to get in shape. Just keep at it and don't get ALL into the exercises at the beginning. Think of it as energy conservation. :) You may be starting out too hard. Try to focus your attention on not giving the exercises your all immediately just because you walk in with energy. Also, good exercise will be exhausting. Give it some time. If you haven't excercised regularly, it takes a little time for your body to get in shape (like a month or so).

Start by just doing some normal exercises (i.e. walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes to build up your heart rate). Then do some push ups and sit-ups. Once you've done this for a few weeks (gradually increasing the amount of reps and time on the treadmill), your body won't be in such a state of shock and will be better able to handle the class.

Start slow. Its good for a workout to be a little challenging. However, if it is too challenging you may not only get discouraged, but could also injure yourself. (Many of your joints have not had a chance to build up to a strenuous level of activity.) I'd also look for something that is fun that you can keep doing. The aerobics class sounds like a good bet. Though, you may check to see if they have a lower impact option. (Just don't be embarrassed if there are people a lot older than you there.)

Start light. Use easier weights to start out with, and then keep building. Make sure that you drink a lot of water beforehand and do a lot of stretching. Try breathing exercises on your own to expand your lungs. Getting your breathing down will really help a lot. If you go running, try taking a breath in every two steps, then out. Regulation breathing helps a lot, not just with aerobics, but with weights as well. Good luck!

you just need to build up endurance! this will happen if you attend these aerobic classes regularly. don't be embarassed by getting tired in the middle of class, you have to start somewhere! You might want to see if there is an aerobic class for beginners instead. If not, hop on a treadmill a few times a week until you can build up your endurance enough!
