That's the real uestion, isn't it? That you either believe it, or you deny it? Jesus said that if you believe, you are :
1) Called of God the Father,
2) Counted as a brother of His,
3) Not going to suffer as those that do not believe,
4) Saved,
5) Confessed to the Father as you are confessing in Jesus,
6) A part of His Kingdom,
7) Going to live forever with Him,
8) A vessle of the Holy Spirit
9) Know His voice.
10) Not counted as those that are perishing.

If you dont trust Him, you get none of those things.

So the question I have for you is, if its' true, what do YOU gain? If it's false, what do you lose?

It is a belief. The hope is for eternal life. It is not a scientific theory that we can prove true or false. It is a belief that is outside the scope of science. It is something that we can not observe.

Basically you believe or you don't believe what the prophets said (as documented in bible). It is the way you live your life.

We can debate God existence, the belief would not change and the way you live would be the same.

One last comment, there is no proof for the existence of God in the bible: It is assumed. It is a belief which you either believe or you don't believe. To say that it is a lie is only say that you do not believe what the prophets said. If you do not believe the prophets of the bible, what prophets are you listening to?

I have done much in my life that makes me deserving of separation from God - justice would dictate that I should bear the brunt of my own indiscretions. However, God loves me so much that He sacrificed His only begotten Son for me. He has forgiven me my sins. He is constant and unchanging and will continue to do so. There is no 'what if'.

Salvation is not from hell but death, the second death.

Study to show thyself approved.

It is truth, the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit.

God's grace is sufficient.
