The name itself, I don't know, but I think it was associated to the devil when some kid played the role of Damien, a little boy, in a movie called 'The Omen'.

Damian has been used in movies and that is why people have ideas of what it means. The boy in The Omen, who was supposed to be Satan's son had this name. The priest in The Excorcist who battled Satan also had this name. People relate Satan to this name because of movies instead of its original meaning. When I hear that name, I think of my 6 year old son because that's his name.
