There's this guy in one of my classes and he finally talked to me last week. The other day, I ran into him and he sat down next to me and we talked about our class again. What's the next step? The semester is almost over and I want to hang out with him before our class ends. Do I ask him to study or wait for him to ask me out or something?

Sure, take the initiative. Study "dates" are great ways to get to know people and spend time together without worrying about "what are we going to do?" Or you could invite others with and have a group study session if you're uncomfortable asking him on a study "date"

talk to him and ask him if he wants to hang out and get some studing done and when he does hang out you guys dont have to study and just ask him again

Don't wait!!!!! Just ask him to hang out one day; movies, coffee, lunch, anything... Don't wait till the year is up...

well i think you sould ask whats he is doing later one day and tell him to come over or does he want to hang out with you one day or make it a group thing and then see

when your class is about to be out just write you number on a piece of paper and give it to him and say give me a call sometime.
