I do not want to scratch my cd up so I want to duplicate my OS disk. When I do, I try to use it and it says that there are missing files. Is this a safeguard by Microsoft? Or am I doing something wrong?

When buring disk I find to help reduce errors close all other programs turn off the net and don't use your computer while burning. I burned my copy of xp this way and works fine. Used Roxio Easy cd dvd creator 6 and 9 worked fine on both.
