Hell no! that is a load of poo. Women were not made to be men's possessions! That had to have been 're-worded' by men!

At First people look at this verse and say that women belong to men. This is not true, the verse says helpmate. What is a helpmate? A helpmate is a helper. Someone who comes along side and helps.

I assume you're talking about (Gen. 2:18) The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

I believe everything that's in the Bible, but we have to be careful not to take something out of context. Normally we need to search the Bible and see if we can find any other references to the same statement.

Unfortunately, my helper didn't read the bible and ran off with the boy next door. Any idea how I can get a replacement?

Yes that is exactly what God did. He did this so that the world could be populated at that time and also so man would not be alone. God performed the first marriage and it was done according to His wisdom. He knew what He was doing then and He knows what He is doing now. He also created the woman to provide the essential needs of the man so he would not roam from home, but man disobeyed God and sin was introduced into the world and so it goes.

Nothing compares to a woman! We came from the side, that means we are there to walk with, talk with, share life with...we didn't come from the foot to be trampled on or the head for us to rule them....we were made to share life together...equally. Companionship.

Genesis 2
18-20 God said, "It's not good for the Man to be alone; I'll make him a helper, a companion." So God formed from the dirt of the ground all the animals of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the Man to see what he would name them. Whatever the Man called each living creature, that was its name. The Man named the cattle, named the birds of the air, named the wild animals; but he didn't find a suitable companion.

21-22 God put the Man into a deep sleep. As he slept he removed one of his ribs and replaced it with flesh. God then used the rib that he had taken from the Man to make Woman and presented her to the Man.

I love it when God first said this and made animals, Then God said let's make woman. Thank God for this or else man would be marrying sheep and donkeys.

Absolutely!! We men cannot help to live work and love in this world without a woman to help us or to be the reason why we live love and especially work. One of the purposes of life is for a man and a woman to get married and start a family. My wife is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. My God has led me to her in order for me to have purpose and meaning in my life and he gave me my son so that I may learn to love as He loves me. so yeah, absolutely!

Yes I do! God made a woman for man- and He made them for one another for marriage- as it also says:

Genesis 2:24
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
