You will want to find a good professional translator to help you get the most accurate characters. Far too often, kanji type tattoos are badly butchered and people wind up with the wrong meaning.

In my opinion, if its not your heritage or a HUGE influence and part of your life, you should skip it and find something that is.

Belly button piercings are susceptible to contamination, as with every different floor-kind piercing. Although the navel piercing is not viewed a floor piercing, they are very an identical. You will have to wait no less than till each holes have closed, and there is not any redness or affliction. There's no definite solution to hinder rejection, most effective the precautionary steps you'll take. Make definite that you simply wash your arms totally earlier than touching the piercing, and be certain you blank it AT LEAST as soon as an afternoon with anti-bacterial cleaning soap. Continue with the ocean salt soaks, however do not use an excessive amount of salt while doing them, for the reason that that may be simply as unhealthy as making use of alcohol, and will critically dry it out. If you think it's going to aid, you'll use an unscented lotion to your piercing. Check that it's unscented even though, for the reason that the perfumes in scented creams can aggravate the piercing website. Also be certain you wipe away any extra lotion. Try to not tug or pull at the piercing in any respect, and check out to not do too many exerting pursuits, for the reason that sweat can intent contamination within the piercing. If you detect any pus or ooze across the holes of your piercing, do not decide on at them! It tears the epidermis across the gap, and will inspire your frame to reject the piercing. Other than that, the one factor you'll do is wish. I wish the whole thing is going for the exceptional! :D

I wouldn't go with chinese letter. I had a soldier friend of mine get stationed in Korea with a tattoo that was supposed to say Power. Somebody told him that it actually said some nasty things. The basic jist of it was 'woman on woman.'
He didn't mind, but you can see the mistranslations.

I think it is an awesome idea! You could also put something cool with it (a picture) that shows his personality or your feelings for him.
