It's best to add a personal touch. Maybe just write "Merry Christmas" on it, or "Miss you." Something to make it seem not so automated. Perhaps next year have the message printed but not the name, then you have to sign them.

Technically, you do not have to sign Christmas cards that were imprinted with your name and a message. In fact, I made my own holiday cards using blank ones from an office store I bought some years ago (just found them). They allowed me to write a little personal note (using the printer) and signed our names. If you think that makes it too "computerized" you could just sign your first names (like, Don & Harriet).
I didn't because I know people will realize I put it thorugh the printer. Also, I've received cards without a personal note from my family or friends and they had them imprinted. It's really up to you, I think.

when it comes down to it, it is really your choice whether or not you sign. since the cards are imprinted with your name and message the already carry your personal touch, which is a signature. but i also think that it should be decided one card at a time. for example, i'd want to at least jot a short personal message in the card being sent to great grandma, but would most likely just address and send out the one for the distant cousin or dentist'office, unless of course i was close to them.

Yes, you should still sign it. Unless you are sending cards from your business to another business associate. If the cards are going to friends and family, it's considered rude and impersonal to not include some type of handwritten greeting.

if you imprinted your name on the inside of the card you don't need to sign it... but if it's someone that I'm close to i like to write them an extra little message and sign it -- just for that little extra 'you're my friend - no you aren't getting the generic card'

I guess that's the whole point of having them imprinted, but to add a personal touch you could write something, but I don't think you have to.

The personal note is always a welcome addition to ANY card, but it is a matter of preference. I have to say that when I receive a pre-printed card, I always look for a personal note on the back! No one wants to feel that you are only a name on list to someone, who then mass produces the same card for everyone to expedite seasons greeings.

It is still considered nice to sign it. It looks like you just stuffed the envelope if you don't

I don't even bother with Christmas cards altogether, I've always felt they are a big waste of money, paper, and time. I can't imagine anyone caring whether or not you have signed the card.
