i am planning to enlist in the navy and i cant have a open court date is the a solid reason.?

No you will not be able to move it up. You shouldn't have shoplifted in the first place if you were going to enlist in the navy. You should have thought about that before you did something dumb like that. I have arrested shoplifters before, so the answer your looking for is going to be no.

There is no way to "move up" a court date for such a small offense. You will have to deal with it. You can, of course, petition the court for a change in hearing date, but you need to supply a solid, legitimate reason. Even, then it depends on the calendar load of the judge assigned. Chances are very low it would be moved.
