The sun will be the end of the earth

In a few billion years it will reach it's peak, grow, the heat will destroy all the inner planets, then it will shrink and turn into a brown drawf (i think) summat linke that.

Either way, when it happens, your gonna need some sun factor 4 billion...

If the present worldwide scenario is any indication, it will be both. Religion will provide the motive, and science will provide the means. Science keeps developing bigger and cheaper weaponry, and more and more violent people are finding religious justification for damnable actions. If the wrong technology finds its way to the hands of a fanatic who believes that his actions are the will of a higher power, the world could cascade into complete destruction. The first World War was sparked by the killing of one archduke; if one man's death could elicit such a chain of catastrophic events, couldn't the glassing of New York City or Beijing or Moscow start a far more violent landslide?

If there's an afterlife, I'd probably be excluded from Heaven. I dedicate myself to being a truly good person, but as the Bible says, God is unimpressed by the deeds of any mortal. I'm not a believer, so as many Christians are all-too-eager to remind me, I don't pass the entrance exam. Still, no hellfire could burn hot enough to ruin my happiness-- any afterlife for me at all would mean that my friends and loved ones who DO believe have achieved immortality and salvation. Knowing there's a heaven for them, how could I suffer?

The world will never end but this earth age will at the seventh trump. Time will be no longer.

Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

The earth will not be destroy but rejuvenated.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

The word "new" means rejuvenated.

Of coarse there is a after life.

All will go to heaven, that's were judgement is.

I believe it will be a combination of both. There is to be 3 smaller wars before the war of Armageddon. During these wars you will probably see the nuclear war among other things. These are prophesied events in the Bible, both old and new testaments, that have yet to happen. I believe it is Daniel that a war described just as a nuclear war would look, can be found. If it isn't Daniel then it is Ezekiel (if I get a chance I will look it up and insert it) .God will cause things that can be scientifically explained up until the time that Jesus raptures the church and then at his 2nd coming. The rapture will not be explainable my science, nor will Jesus physically coming out of the Heavens and landing on the mount of Olives be explainable by science, nor will science be able to explain how Jesus will win and stop the war of Armageddon.

I believe I will be raptured with the church to heaven prior to these things described above. These things described are during the tribulation.

( Revelation) when the end of the world comes. The bible indicates that Christians will go through 7 years of tribulaiton. There will be total world peace on earth and the anti christ also known as satan will persecute every believer for not accepting the mark of the beast. Christians everywhere will be killed for there faith. This will go on for 31/2 years, after this the rapture will take place. The dead in Christ will rise first then every believer on earth and will accend and meet Jesus face to face. The Last 31/2 years of tribulation it will be complete wrath from God to the non believer on earth (torture). After the full 7 years of tribulation Jesus will return also known as the second coming of Christ with his Church and declare victory over what we call armagedon and reign forever and there God will create a new heaven and a new Jerselum ( no more tears).

First, I disagree with the options you give, you assume the two things are disconnected. For example, if all life on earth is destroyed by a nuclear war or other weapon/action of man, then I feel it is likely that the motivation for that war will be religion. Any philosophy which believes (a) we are right and everyone else is wrong, and (b) if we die killing non-beleivers God will honor us forever, can only lead to destruction.

It is also quite likely that man will die out not from a direct action, like a bomb, but from a consequence of his actions. Such as super viruses developed because they adapt to be drug resistant or pollution causing cancers or infertility, leading to the end of man.

As to life after death, I personally don't believe in it. When you die, you die, you cease, you end. We are still animals, sentient animals yes, but does it make sense to believe that we have a soul, while a cow or a dog does not?

The first question does not compute. Therefore the second question becomes academic.

The third question assumes the existence of an inexistent thing and is, therefore, invalid.

Concepts like Apopcalypse and Afterlife have been disproven time and again. Religion is slowly becoming an archaiac old Concept.

Mankind will progress and Science and common sense will prevail.

The instinct of self-preservation will have all the conflicts due to "Religion" resolved in the interests of the unbiased majority.

The Bible predicts an end to the system of things ("world"), an end to man's rulership (Daniel 2:44) and an end to wickedness but DOES NOT say that the earth will end. Instead it says that the earth will remain forever and the meek will inherit it and live forever upon it. It says the earth will be made new as it was in the days of Noah, when the only ones who survived were those who were willing to do God's will. I believe that if I can remain faithful, I will live on the earth either as a survivor of Armegeddon or one who is resurrected from death.

Your planet may destroy itself for both reasons. Your scientific advancements have far exceeded your intellectual development and these advancement may just be used by religion to cause the avowed and most sought after goal of most of the various "ultimate truths" (religion), which is THE END OF THE WORLD. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species. Your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you and neither does your penchant to breed beyond your planet's ability to sustain you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

There will be an end of the world.
I have a feeling tha tit will come within the next century.
How it happens is beyond me.
Propably a combination of a international nuclear war, an enviromental problem, and cultural disunity.
And I do belive in an after life... and I will not be going to "heaven" but rather the Summerlands, or perhaps I'll just wander the planes of the universe.
