my mum used to train our cats not to pee on the carpet by rubbing the cats nose in it, litterally. i seems cruel but they are in no ways harmed and learn VERY quickly

This sounds like a cry for attention. When the cat pees on the carpet, she knows that you will pay attention to her, even if it is in a negative way. Your best bet is to pay more attention to your cat, and even better, reward her with a treat when she uses the kitty litter and not the carpet. This is called positive reinforcement. When she does something good, give her a treat. But after a few weeks, only give her treats 50% of the time when she does something good. This way, she wont know when she will get a treat for being good, and she wont be expecting it every time, so she will try harder to do well.

When cleaning this spot whay do you use? if you use blaech that would explain why she repeatedly pees there. They smell the amonia in the bleach and sometimes think it's another cat so they pee on it again to mark their territory.
If that's not the case, perhaps you should buy a litter tray, use it inside and gardually move it towards the door, then put it outside and she should go to it...you will then be able to take it away again.

You need to get your cat to the vet to see if it is a medical or behaviour problem. A urinary infection may the the problem since urinating outside the litterbox is a big sign of that. It can be deadly if not found in time. It is easily treatable too. Cat feels pain when using the litterbox, associating pain with the litterbox. Vet will do a urinalysis.

I had a cat that was afraid of the litter box door and wouldn't go in so I just took it off. If she starts peeing in a spot she won't stop if she gets used to it so make sure you make the litter box more accesible and clean the urine with a enzyme cleaner toget rid of the smell so she won't be tempted to do it there again. Good luck

Misplaced urination and defecation is usually a sign of feline anger at you, or illness. Have you been leaving her alone for long periods, or are you distracted from spending time with her, or has your routine changed lately? I suggest taking up the carpet as the urine smell encourages her to do it again.
Otherwise, if it begins to be frequent she might be ill, depending on her age this could be a sign of diabetes. My cat did this in my office to try to get my attention to the fact that he wasn't well.

The first time she did it, it left her scent, so she keeps going back to it. Get rid of the scent by washing the area with bicarbonate of soda. This will neutralise the scent and hopefully she will use the catflap. If the weather is cold you could compromise by buying a litter box, as my cats won't dream of going outside in cold weather.

Our cat does this when she is upset with us. Usually after a night away from her, or if we run out of her favorite treats.
She's been to the vet and there were no underlying causes. We spray a pet keap away spray on the area where she went and she hasn't since.

Clean the spot really well so she cant smell where she has "gone" before!
it could be if her litter box gets to dirty she wont use it! We have a boy cay like that. If its to full he gets mad and pees in the hall near the box!
