When making an online purchase always check the contact and whois information. Call the number listed (if there is no number - run!) and speak to the representative. Make sure they have a legitimate phone number and clear refund and ordering policy. Find a dress you like at a local store, get the size and designer and order. Then, be ready to have it altered by a reputable seamstress you'll find before you get the dress. Order early!

I'd recommend NOT buying your dress from online. Mail can be lost, damaged, and even though you're insured, that's no guarantee everything will be there and ready for the big day. While I don't recommend David's Bridal either (money-munching corporation who really DOES not care about your wedding), do try and buy your dress in person. Whether or not you buy off the rack or order your dress size, you still need to see how a dress looks and feels ON.

I was looking into those websites when I first started looking for my dress. But I wanted to actually try on dresses before I ordered anything.....turns our David's Bridal is just as reasonable as those website. I would highly recommend David's Bridal. Great service and great prices.

Good luck and congratulations!

Be very careful when buying a dress from an online source...make sure you are measured by a knowledgeable bridal wear consultant and make sure you know of a great seamstress, in case alterations need to be made.

It's a big risk, not one I would be willing to take for my big day. You really need to try a dress on before you buy it, as it may look stunning on the rail, but terrible on you. Or the opposite, it may look hideous on the rail, but could be the dress of your dreams. Honestly you really need to go to a bridal store and try some dresses on. If not then good luck, you are braver than me!

I did not buy my wedding dress from them. I got my dress from davids bridal and it is so georgeous. But please be careful with buying a wedding dress online. I have heard horror stories about not receiving the gown they saw online and about it being stained and that sort of thing. My best advice to you is to go to a bridal shop or places that sell wedding dress and try it on before you buy it.

Good luck.

if you order on-line....your SAFEST bet is to order the dress in a size LARGER than what you really need. that way you won't have to risk it not fitting. dresses can always be fitted a size down better than a size up.

go to a seamstress and have your measurements done professionally for a dress...that way when you order you have your exact measurements....check the size charts they supply on the sites, and order a size up.
