South Africa has the highest rate of open unemployment in the world, currently standing at about 26%. This has been a persistent and growing problem for many years. The South African Government has committed itself to halving unemployment by 2014.

because of sweat factories its higher then averyone thinks it is .67% is the actual unemployment rate but 30% are self-employed
