does chocolate cause headaches ?

i just ate a bag of m&m's , two mini reese's , 2 mini hershey milk chocolate bars and 2 mini hershey nuggets and im having a very sharp pain in the back of my head ?

I know chocolate is one of the "trigger" foods for certain people with migraine headaches. My brother is a chronic headache sufferer (really bad ones) and his doctor has given him a list of foods to avoid:
red wine
chocolate
cheese
certain fermented products.

Take some pain medicine and sleep it off. Hope you feel better.

Migraine headaches can be triggered by chocolate. You can try cutting out the chocolate to see if it helps. Migraines are usually accompanied by vision problems, like starry things in your eyes that don't move. If you have those, you have migraine headaches. Try a doctor, they have stuff now that stops the headache before it starts. Dave

Chocolate will cause headaches if you are allergic to it. I get migraines whenever I eat Dove dark chocolate. I don't know why only this kind does this to me.

Yes chocolate can have various reactions with different people. I know it gives me headaches and also I come out in rashes. I am elergic to chocolate and vinegar.

well... extremes of nearly anything, especially sweets and salts cause headachs. hate to say it... but a headache for you was well deserved and will hopefully be a lesson.

wel do u get pain wen having sex...i knw dat sounds stupid but when u eat chocolate u excrete the same chemicals as wen u hav sex...so if uy...n get a pain in ur head wen u hav sex den probably d choc does cause it....n nyway wen ya eat large amounts of food of any kind in 1 go ya usual feel sick n hav a head ache
