Im not sure what is in water that you could be allergic too, but to all these people on here telling you to get a second opinion and that your crazy or whatever need to check there facts first because it is possible. I also watched a show where a girl was alergic to water. It's called Aquagenous Urticaria. The girl I read about had to use a special barrier foam, which stops water from touching her skin. It also said one theory may be that unusual proteins in her system may react with the water causing her to be allergic. That may or may not be the reason you are. This girl I read about had it very badly and had it at birth. I hope this helps!! Good luck!

Then you're not allergic to water: You're allergic to something in the water.

There are a number of chemicals that are used in the water, or there could be some mineral or substance dissolved in it or perhaps in the run-off that goes into your water supply.

I'm pretty sure that's not what you're looking for, but that's about all I can say with any degree of accuracy. You'll need to talk with the doctor in more detail, until you understand exactly what's going on.

Good luck!

I think it would be very important for you to get a second or even maybe a third opinion on this one.
I have never heard of such a crazy load of bologna in my life. Your body is made up mostly of water - so are they trying to tell you that you are also allergic to yourself?
I think you need to take a closer look at your doctors degree and make sure he didn't get it of the Internet.

I think you misunderstood something. More than half of your body is water...it's like you're saying you're allergic to yourself. Maybe check back in with the doctor.

there's water in fruit juice, though. yeah, you're allergic to 60% of yourself? is this even possible? what are the symptoms? maybe it's the chlorine and stuff they use to treat water with. i've heard of allergies to chlorine.

i don't think your are allergic to pure( distilled) water. however don't try drinking that. it is probably some salt/ substance present in the water you are having, that is causing the allergic reaction. drink only mineral water, or try out water from another locality which receives water from a different source and see what happens.
please inform me at patu_great@yahoo.co.uk, to tell me how you are doing.

That cannot be possible.
You are MADE of 60% water!
Check again. Ask the doc specific questions and concerns.

are you maybe allergic to the chlorine and chemicals in water?

it's almost impossible to be allergic to water since you need it to live....

go back to your doctor and tell him to pretend you're not a medical student while exlaining it
