Arent sick days just what they are called? Holidays are for specific days also.

Are we being true to the Lord by telling someone we are sick while using sick days for pleasure or business?

Wouldn't that invovle lying?

All questions of specific religious belief aside, I don't recommend lying like that.

How can your word have any power if you know you lie?

It depends on the industry. Some allow sick days to protect the employee from losing pay when sick, and may require documantation to prove your illness. Others allow so many days a year and expect you to use them any way you wish. Some companies all one to accumulate unused sick days. However, once they are used up then you must forfeit pay to be off.

If you tell them you're sick and you're not, it's wrong. If the company let's you use the labeled "sick days" for any occasion though it's fine. Walmart lets you use them as personal - the one I used to work at anyways.

Most companies these days have PTO which you can use for anything you want. There are no separate days allocated to either sick days or vacation days.

That is why most companies call them personal days any more.
