Of course. God blessed King Solomen and made him possibly the richest man that has ever lived on planet earth.

God's concern is with the focus of our hearts and minds. some can be very wealthly and still love God with all of their hearts, most however can not.

also, the allusion of the camel and eye of the needle is not as hopeless as it seems. Jesus was not speaking of a sewing needle but rather a narrow gate that a camel was just barely able to squeeze through.(which was called "the eye of the needle"-- in other words it is possible but it is not
easy. "the love of money is the root of all evil" not the money itself. "you cannot serve money and God". It is possible to serve God with your money however.. focus and intent are the keys.

No I think him along with everyone else should just go for the eye of the needle. Moses I'm sure was a wealthy person but I don't recall hearing that he was the richest man of his time. I'm quite shore the Pharaoh had more wealth than Moses' few little goat herds. I don't believe there to be anything beyond the grave thank you. I will be very happy just to make it safely there. Oh Bill Gates is far from the richest man in the world thank you. xx

The understanding of what Jesus ment by It is easier for a camel to got through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of GOD" is vital to the understanding of what he ment by this as well as, If you remember teh context of which he said this it becomes clear. The context was that a rich man came up to Jesus and said that he was a devout follower and was willing to do anything for him ( this man was wealthy) and Jesus said "Go and give away all of your possetions and follow me." the man refused and left. So it he was showing that all the money just gets in the way of your following Christ. It makes more sense if you know what a camel passing through the eye of a needle means. In those days a needle was a narrow passage between 2 cliffs and when a merchant was traveling and he came to a needle he had to take off the bags of the camel so it would fit through. So he would lose a lot of his mercendise, which is hard to do, just like the man who was told to get rid of everything.

yet he went on to say with God all things are possible.
Some people are rich and selfish, others are not.
There is no shame in being smart and working hard and saving your money and investing wisely. God appreciates man's ability to do that. It becomes a sin when you get the money by cheating others and stealing, extortion or lies and misrepresentations.
Not by good honest hard working people. Bill Gates is a good man and faithful to his wife and very smart. Generous to others and a real credit to the USA. I believe ones like that God appreciates.

All you had to do was read the rest of that passage to get your answer.
Matthew 19:25ff
"When the disciples heard this they were greatly astonished, saying, 'Who then can be saved?' But Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'"

It is impossible for anyone to get themselves into heaven because our sin nature despises God. We naturally love worldly, fleshy things, especially money. Only God can cause a person to put their faith in Christ for salvation.

God didn't choose Moses because of his wealth. But because of his obidience to God.
If you look back in history, all Jesus's disciples are not rich. They came from all different back ground. And, except for John, they're all died in a horrible way.

Rich people are usuall self-absorbed. If a rich person has a heart and is not in his own world then he is looked upon favorably by God.

Having oooodles of money is not automatically a bad thing.
What is important is:
How does it affect your attitude?
Do you come to rely on it?
Do you think your superior because of it?
Will you remain humble and grateful to God despite it?
Please note 1 Timothy 6:10 where it says the LOVE of money is the source of injurious things.
Not the money itself .....the LOVE of it!

Nothing I can remember that would suggest that Moses was rich. Now the Bible does say Abraham was but not Moses.
