It should be obvious to you by now that our government does not want to protect America & Americans from terrorist, drugs or diseases! We are, for now, the big boy on the block so if our government cared about protecting us they could, with little effort!

Well, I've been asking a related question and got silly answers ... namely, are those who are pro illegals pro ALL illegals, or only Hispanic ones? The most ardent ones always come back with ... "there are no more diseases in Mexico than in the United States" ... "it wasn't Hispanics who created 911", etc., etc. So the question is: Do these people realize that there are OTHER illegals? And are they equally rabidly pro them?? Do they not mind Arab terrorists? Are they so eager to let in their lovers/boyfriends etc. from Mexico illegally that they are willing to let the country go down the tube because of illegals from both Mexico and other countries? I would sorely love to know what logic these people follow ... if any ....

And of course, the answer to your question is: If you can't protect your border, you can't protect your country ...

We should pay more attention to our borders. I do not want a wall. The wall serves to keep people in as well. That is not what our country is about. We as a country need to be a better job of electing our officials. They work for us. We have to be attentive and vote. Vote for the right person and not to be part of the group. Hold our officials accountable for their actions. Fire them if needed. Enforce the laws and do so fairly. Write the laws so that the common person can understand it. There should not be a need for a room full of lawyers to haggle over its meaning. The meaning should be clear. Bring common sense back into the government.

You can't! The U.S. is the only major country with open borders, and ultra liberal ACLU doing everything they can to insure that our country collapses as soon as possible under the strain of the illegals they want to have citizenship rights! Find any other country, anywhere having problems with immigration similar to ours ... you can't! All other governments make their laws and enforce them ... no problem. We write new laws and our representatives begin the time honored tradition of exploiting the loop holes they deliberately built into the laws they just wrote. The rest of the world laughs at us! We're doomed unless this mindlessness ends!

If we can afford to secure the border
between South Korea and North Korea,
then why can't we seem to afford to secure our own borders?

If we can afford to send troops into the Balkans
to defend the Muslims in a religious war
(so that they can attack us),
then why can't we seem to afford to secure our own borders?

If we can afford to send troops into Haiti,
to install and support a Leftist madman,
then why can't we seem to afford to secure our own borders?

If we can send our Special Operations Forces
to train with those of Communist China
(a nation that wants to destroy America),
then why can't we seem to afford to secure our own borders?

If we can send our troops
for recurring training exercises with the Egyptian military,
which then bombs and burns ancient churches,
then why can't we seem to afford to secure our own borders?

If anyone says that we don't have enough troops
to do the job,
then I can quickly suggest some locations
where we can find some.

Of the above,
the only location where keeping our troops
MIGHT be justified
is the Korean Peninsula.
The DMZ between the North and the South
is the most heavily guarded border in the world.
Doesn't it make sense
to train our troops for foreign border service
by first guarding our own borders?

A serious commitment to border security
would require fencing off the entire southern border—
all 1,891 miles of it.
(For comparison,
we have 40,000 miles of Maintained US Interstate Highways.)

At $1.7 million per mile
(the cost of the first 10 mile stretch in San Diego),
the entire U.S.-Mexican border
all 1,891 miles of it
could be sealed off for $3.3 billion dollars.

Iraq spending equivalent: 13.8 days.

Cost/benefit analysis, anyone?

YOU CAN'T. BUILD THE WALL AND THEY WILL STAY OUT. THE FLOW OF ILLEGALS HAS TO STOP.
