Are you just a simple tea or instant coffee drinker or do you prefer a hot frothy mocha locha choca coffee!!!!

I make better coffee than I can get anywhere but Peet's (where we buy the beans), so that'd have to be my favorite hot drink -- at least in the morning.
In the evenings, now that winter is well and truly on its way, we've been making hot rum drinks. Our local grocery sells something they call "hot buttered rum mix" made from their in-house brand of vanilla ice cream with a little brown sugar and cinnamon mixed in it. You add a scoop of this stuff to a mug or cup, then add liquor(s) to taste and top it off with boiling water. I'm especially fond of Gosling's Black Seal rum (a wonderful, cola-colored drink with the aroma of molasses and a smooth, rich flavor) mixed with coconut rum and amaretto. My wife, who's not fond of almond flavoring, prefers to have hers with Black Seal, orange liqueur and a dash of cinnamon schnapps like Goldschlager.
What I wish I could make at home: espresso, REAL espresso, where the steam is forced into the grounds and then condenses as it cools. I have a little Bialetti stovetop espresso pot, and three or four French press coffee makers of various sizes and styles, but I haven't had a proper espresso maker in the home in years. I only rarely steam milk -- and frankly, I can get nearly adequate results with a pan on the stove and a wire whisk -- but there are times when a double espresso, with a lump of sugar and a twist of lemon, is just the right thing.

I love coffee, but also from time to time make a hot cocoa made with steamed milk, in my opinion the only true way to make cocoa. I've got a expresso machine gathering dust in my cabinet

I love chamomile tea but sometimes I wish I could go in my kitchen and make myself a Starbucks Gingerbread Latte.
