I asked my dematologist about this, and she said some people (like you and I) are born with these oh-so-lovely large pores. She did suggest a meidcation for pore reduction, which was new but was currently being tested by the staff. Ask the dermatologist, but for now, use Biore strips to keep them under control. ;)

I had the same problem. What worked for me is hot water. I don't mean just hot water, I mean as hot as you can stand (without burning yourself, obviously). Opens the pores and flushes them out. And then, and this is the important part, cold water. Not just cold, but as cold as you can take. Like right out of the fridge. Tightens the pores. Try this every other day for a week or two and see what happens. One other thing I should mention. I've been doing this for a long time. I never could use regular soap on my face because it dried it out so bad (I know that sounds counter-intuitive, dry skin with blackheads, but that was the case, go figure). I'm at an age where one might expect to start seeing wrinkles, but I don't have one in sight. My face feels just as tight as it did as a teenager. So who knows, it might be a cure for those nasty little wrinkles too.

The one thing that has really worked well for me is Origin's Clear Improvement Active Charcoal mask. I have really oily skin that is prone to blackheads and other zits and this is my salvation. I use it all over my face twice a week and leave it on overnight to really get down deep. It is messy though (grey like charcoal!) so you might want to have an extra pillowcase and washcloth to take it off. Once I take it off though, my blackheads are gone and my pores are clearer. Ask your closest Origin's store if they can give you a sample to try--some stores will.

Try steaming your face first, that will open up the pores and make it easier to get rid of the black heads...also, when you squeeze them you should never use your fingers alone...Get 2 tissues, fold them in half twice then fold them twice over your fingertips (so that they are almost like a thimble covering your fingertip) you should then squeeze them using a slight side to side motion. This should make it alot easier to get rid of them and reduce the swelling and red marks.

I hope you find this helpful, the tissue thing is kinda hard to explain.

The trick is to gently remove these plugs (which means no hard squeezing.) This can be done by a dermatologist using a small instrument called a comedone extractor. This treatment usually requires multiple visits and is done over a period of time.

The most of this black spots are pigment of the skin (melanin) in a face with a little big pore, they are not dirt, but I know they seem so. Knowing that, you could use any of the products you are watching here, that other people is telling you about, check the best for you, but do not feel bad because of thinking is a hygiene problem or something bad with your face. Be fine.

Well, if nothing can work except squezzing them gently, then you should but maybe you should get rid of red stains which sometimes will be permanent (be careful), so get rid of them by any Antiseptic Healing Cream, i know it sounds weird because its for Napkins Rash or Eczema, sunburn , minor burns, surface wounds etc. but i think it just works.

I suppose a quick and permanent solution would be to, CUT the blo*** thing off. Then nobody will notice.
