Well, as far as we know, the "original" Christian church was really called 'The Church of the Nazarene".

But the people who deny that Catholics are Christians don't know that either. There are many branches on the family tree of Christianity:

The ebook of Acts documents a lot of what the primary century church needed to manage. Already heresy had crept in, widows had been being not noted, judaisers had been including works to grace, and so forth. If we desire to become aware of what the usual Christian church seemed like, it's right here. As time went on, matters had been further to the educating of the primary century church, matters that pervert the gospel, or difference it to intend some thing instead of what used to be supposed firstly. Tradition will also be well, however culture need to be godly. I used to be taught that catholic is a synonym of common, consequently, the catholic church is the common church. The common church is believers from every age united in a single frame. [Christ's] That frame does no longer reply to the pope, always, however to ecclesiastical authority and eventually to God. Remember, Peter responded to the professionals in his day, "Do you believe God desires us to obey you instead than him? We are not able to give up telling approximately the unique matters we've got visible and heard." [Acts four]

Mostly because it is Catholics that say their church is the original one, not history. Historically Catholocism didn't show until Constantine in 325 ad. It is later Catholics that wrote Catholic history back to the early Church age. The Church stated with Jesus Christ, who said I will build my church. He appointed the apostles are the foundation upon which the church would be built. The early church history was written in the book of Acts, and of course never mentions anything about the Cathoilc church or anything similar to it. It just didn't exist until Constantine declared it the official state religion.

Roman Emperor Constantine, who forced Christianity on the Roman Empire for political reasons, super-imposed Christian dogma over the super-structure of the old Roman religion to create the Catholic Church. Prior to that it was a loosely organized and unorganized grouping of illiterate delusional peasants who were coerced into believing in one of the many messiahs that were popping up all over that area at that time. If that is the fact you want every Christian to admit too, you don't have much to be proud of.

Because it simply is not true!!! Read the book of Acts!! The first Christians: 1. Did not pray to Mary 2. Did not confess sins to a priest 3. Did not believe that you can pray someone out of hell 4. Did not deny nuns and priests the right to get married which, has had a terrible and demonic effect on their natural human response to sexuality for centuries! 5. Did not hold fruitless vain rituals above a true relationship with God. 6. Died for what they believed in not kill, inslave, and oppress in God's name!! 7. And can you please tell me where purgatory is? That is after you read the BIBLE!!

I could go on but it is staggaring to me that people who don't read the Bible would rather listen to other people who's church's don't even require that they bring a bible to church, about who God is and what a Christian is, instead of reading the bible and finding it all out for themselves!

If people want to re-write history and make up stories about Constantine starting the Catholic Church, then it must be demonstrated that no Catholic doctrines existed before his birth. As we can see by reading the Church Fathers of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd century BEFORE Constantine, only Catholic doctrines existed in Christianity at its origins.

Before the canon of the Bible, the Christian Rule of Faith included belief in the Apostolic succession through the Episcopate, the authority of Tradition itself, the authority of Scripture, the three fold ministry (bishop-priest-deacon), the Eucharist as Sacrifice and others. The historical evidence is there for anyone who wishes to see it.

Before the canon of the Bible the Christian Rule of Faith (TRADITION) included belief in baptismal regeneration, prayers for the dead, veneration of the Saints, the Seven sacraments, the evangelical counsels, and others. The historical evidence is there for anyone who wishes to see it.

for anyone who wishes to see it.

The reason why I would deny this fact is because the first church wasnt a physical building with a physical congregation. The BIble says the true church is made up of those who have Repented and trusted in Jesus. The true church is also called the "bride" of Christ. The problem is that we have done the very thing paul spoke against, and that is creating denominations and divisions within the christian ranks. the BIble speaks against it, and every time you or I say "Catholic church is the only true church, or, "Baptist are the onl true way!" we are guilty of heresy and we put a slur on the name of Jesus christ. Paul said to the Galatians "some of you say,'Im from paul or im from peter' Is the body of chrsit divided?" that wasnt a direct quote from the BIble but it was paraphrased. The true church dosent consist of walls and it dosent consist of ceremony and rituals, the BIble says the only true church are those who have repented and trusted in Jesus alone. Have you? lets go through a few questions............

Do you Consider yourself to be a good person?

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and the Bible says "he who hates his brother is a murderer." have you ever hated someone? if you have said yes to these questions, your guilty of breaking four of the Ten Commandments, and you will have to face God on the day of Judgement. Listen carefuly, God didn’t see me as the “nice guy” I imagined myself to be… and he doesn’t see you that way either. Nothing you’ve ever done is hid from His holy eyes. Will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to be forgiven.
He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name. the BIble makes it clear that the only way to be saved, isnt to go to confessional or to Rosary, but the only way for you to be saved is to Repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus alone. the BIble says He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name. Do it today, put your sin out by repentance, and call out to your God who has been so merciful to die for you. the Moment yu do, you will be saved, you will have everlasting life and you will become part of the real church, those who belong to christ through salvation.
God Bless

Because the truth is that the Orthodox Church is the original Church. The catholic church is the Latin heresy, not hardly Christian at all.

The first denomination, yes.. But not the first Christian Church. The first Christian Church was started by Jesus' desciples (Peter, John, etc ) , Paul and Jesus's brother's James. At that time there're no denomination. And I want to remind you, that Jesus and His desciples are not Catholic (or Lutheran, or Prebystarian , or pentacostal), they're all Jewish by birth.
