Hitler was not killing Jews in the name of God or Catholicism.
Do some independent research on the inquisition the History channel did a good job telling about it.
The Catholic Church has ALWAYS been about Religious tradition, what do you think bridges the gap between the time of Jesus and when the Bible was written?
Catholics hold to BOTH the Bible and Traditions that were passed down from Jesus.

The original Catholic church also includes all the Protestant offshoots we see today.(They hadn't split yet)
Funny how we managed to stay united but the Protestants can't.
