Ok...Athiests dont believe in god or a higher power. Normaly when someone sneezed you say "God Bless you" meaning that "God is blessing you, which means your most likely to go to heaven......but you really cant say that to an athiest. The response "When you die nothing happens" is triggered from the word "God" in "God Bless you"...it kinda brings up the whole religion aspect. But since Athiest dont believe in god there is no Heaven or Hell for them. In Christianity the belief is that when u die your soul goes to either heaven or hell. But since Aitheist dont believe in them...their souls basically are just gonna stay where they are burried. ....When u die nothing happens....

i suppose it's cos atheists don't believe in God.
usually when a person sneezes u say "bless you".-under the assumption that the average person believes in God.
but since an atheist doesn't believe in God, you say "when you die nothing happens"-implying that there's no point to give him a blessing.
I still don't find it so funny though...
