...because, if my observations are correct, that's the ONLY reason creationism is even seriously considered!!

PS to ALL - So creationism isn't upheld by any scientific merits...its just upheld by believers that have no other recourse than to make personal attacks, correct??? NO??? Then show me a scientific hypothesis that goes beyond the Big Bang.

PS to Tabatha - "Dumbfounded" would be more accurate...by all the pretzel-rationalisations these questions get! Actually, I find it quite funny.

Creationism is one of the more absurd beliefs I've ever encountered-even after years of debating with creationists I still find it difficult to get my head round the fact that they really believe it has any truth. It's total rubbish.

You need to use your brains more. If you study all theories of creation, and become an intellectual in general, you will find there is no reason multiple theories cannot work in tandem with each other. Science has not provided adequate evidence regarding the creation of Earth and the Universe, but some theories which could make sense in conjunction with a creationist theory. Matter cannot be created or destroyed, easy, and I believe most would agree that in the creationist belief God took matter and created the Earth. Anyway, I could go on, but there is no point. We should all use our brains, but must not limit ourselves to only those things that can be proved by quantifiable data. In the end we will still need some faith.

Creationism is considered because God is real.

Evolution is considered foolishness by many because the science does not hold up. We have advanced a little sense Darwin's time, we have DNA information, we understand Amino Acids and the information needed to form life.

Read a new book or two instead of just be living what you are told. I would recommend "A Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel, he was an atheist before he researched the science behind evolution.

So what you're saying is we come from rocks?

Here do me a big favor and actually research evolution. I have. I've looked into both. Evolution makes no sense unless you want to close your mind and believe whatever crap the "science" community tells you. Evolution is more of a religion then Christianity ever has been.

If the earth has been around for as long as they say, Why are there mountains? Erosion would have taken care of them a long time ago. Why are there still commits if they only last a couple thousand years? And saying that there is an Oort cloud is crap. It's never been seen and it's existence has never been proven. Why isn't the salt content in the oceans to the point where nothing could survive in it?

It is you who have failed to use your brain.

What theory contradicts creation? The Big Bang says that everything came from one point, i.e. nothingness. This is exactly what is meant by creation. Evolution is about AFTER creation. THese are the only theories in this department that Christian morons think are against God, but are really either for them or have nothing to do with them. But that's because their religion is false.

God commands us again and again to use our brains. My question to you is, barring Christian stupidity, what can disprove or contradict creation?

God did give us brains and No He did not demand (as you put it) not to use them.
Can you at least accept the possiblility that all the theories concerning evoloution has been fabricated ? or are you just believing what you want because it is "comfortable" for you?
You must have doubts, why else are you here asking questions in this Religion/Spirtuality section, If you were convinced of what you believe, you would not be wasting your time here.

Understand the concept, "Who is God" and it would become simpler to understand God Almighty in its entirety.

God Almighty... a cluster of pure energy is but the sum total of all souls (atmans) in the cosmos at a given point of time. The essence of every soul (atman) being the same as God Almighty... every soul is but a minuscule God in its entity.

The moment the big bang occurs... all souls (atmans) existing in the Cosmos spread all over the cosmos with unimaginable speeds. The magnitude and the scale of the big bang are beyond the comprehension of the human beings to visualize. Nothing that exists in the cosmos in energy form can be visualized by the help of the senses and the mind.

This explosion of the big bang results in creation of a new cosmos... a new beginning! After billions of years when some planets become suitable for giving birth to life... the souls start manifesting body after another. And a planet like Mother Earth is born.

Now... what is this big bang theory! The big bang occurs in what! As has been defined above... the definition of God is, "the sum total of all purified souls atmans in the cosmos at a given point of time is what we know as God Almighty".

This cluster of pure energy we know as God accumulates in its absolute pure state only when the dissolution of the Cosmos occurs in its entirety. It is as if a huge cauldron of fire... a massive black hole has reduced the whole of the Cosmos to the size of half a thumb. It is this stage when every single soul atman in the Cosmos in whatever stage of life it may be liberates after gaining enlightenment and salvation. There is just no escape for the collapse of the whole of Cosmos has occurred.

As has been expressed by Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism that souls atmans in whatever stage of life they may be... continue their journey into the next Cosmos exactly from the point where they stood in the earlier manifestation is totally wrong. This is where the teachings of Jainism are flawed.

Bhagavad Gita... the sacred doctrine of Lord Krishna distinctly clarifies this point. And it is logical that when the collapse of the entire cosmos occurs... the question of souls remaining in their position as such and transitioning into the next Cosmos after the big bang occurs is but a flawed parable that defies all reasoning and logic.

The point of difference where Mahavira went wrong in understanding the teachings of Bhagavad Gita! The reason why Jainism branched into a new thinking pattern as advocated and doctored by Bhagwan Mahavira (the 24th and last Tirthankara of Jainism) is evidenced here.

This cluster of pure energy... the sum total of all purified atmans in the Cosmos equals half the size of a thumb as has been clearly spelt out in the Bhagavad Gita... the most sacred doctrine put forward by Lord Krishna in the battlefield of Mahabharata.

Unable to contain itself for long... this enormous source of pure energy explodes with a big bang giving birth to a new cosmos... a new journey! God Almighty is the source and the cause of the big bang. This theory of creationism is unpalatable by Scientists all over the world. Why? Science demands proofs and in the kingdom of God... it is absolute faith (in the system of God) that rules. More on who is god here- http://www.godrealized.org/god/who_is_god.html

What? You make no sense. I can't answer your "question" effectively.
All I can say is that there have been MANY Christians who have furthered the progress of science. And Christians DO use their brains, thank you...UNLESS you think that Galileo and Copernicus were morons!
