You could try one of the audio / book combinations, but the absolute best bet is to find a native speaker. I married one.

www.bbc.com/languages is pretty useful for beginners or those trying to refresh their memories...it's quite easy and not that time consuming at all, it has audio also and pictures and costs no money, or else go to Deutschland.
