My boyfriend will be coming home December 15th after being gone for 3 weeks of training. What is okay to get him as a welcome home present without it being like too girlie of a gift? I have thought of getting him a bouquet of flowers and a card or a balloon and cards but didn't want it to seem too girlie to welcome him home. Any suggestions?

A bouquet of balloons is good for a guy, you can also get dressed up for him and greet him looking and smelling (he hasn't smelled anything other than stinky guys for 3 weeks and show legs too!) sweet with a delicious home cooked meal. If he's in the military this will be the beginning of a tradition you'll set , be realistic so you won't have to keep one up'ing yourself! (All he really wants is you...and pppssstt he likes you being girlie!)

A banner or just a big heart with Welcome Back stuck somewhere, maybe on the door. Chocolates, or a cake if he likes that. My exhusband liked flowers, and a couple of times I got him some or a plant, nothing girlie about him! Also, it might be nice to have a plan, like a nice dinner cooked, or a nice restaurant to go to, and talk and catch up. Or go on a picnic (I don;t know where you live).

HOW TO IMPRESS A MAN
Show up naked,
Bring beer

HOW TO IMPRESS A WOMAN
Wine her, Dine her, Call her,
Hug her, Hold her, Surprise her,
Compliment her, Smile at her, Laugh with her,
Cry with her, Cuddle with her, Shop with her,
Give her jewelry, Buy her flowers, Hold her hand,
Write love letters to her,
Go the end of the earth and back again for her.

Everyone knows this.

Get him an outfit. Something that he would like. Like Dickie shirt and pants w/ a hat or a collar shirt.

Food gift baskets work better. Or home-made cookies.
Then take him to dinner!

just a big hug and a kiss, and make him feel how much you miss him will be the sweetest thing that you can give him.

i think a simple card and a welcome home kiss would be well received. tell him how much he has been missed.
