"Give us soldiers, that we may guard his sepulchre for three days, lest his disciples come and steal him away, and the people suppose that he is risen from the dead and do us evil. And Pilate gave them Petronius the centurion with soldiers to guard the tomb."
I suggest that Jesus followers were clever enough to steal Jesus body from right beneath the guards nose by trickery.

Funny that you should speak of the "gospel" of Peter. Do you know why the "gospel" was rejected? Because it included a TALKING CROSS!
Now, do you think that the "gospel" of Peter is REALLY reliable, when it includes something silly like that? A TALKING CROSS! Not only did the cross talk, it WALKED.
How can an inanimate object walk and talk? Does that make sense to you?
As for the historical accuracy, it's pretty obvious from other responses that no, Christ's body wasn't stolen.

You are not proposing anything new. For thousands of years, starting immediately after the Resurrection, the Pharisees and Priests of the Temple conspired to tell that lie.

What the Jews feared the most was that Jesus had prophesied accurately, and that they would lose the powe rthey held over the Jews.

Eslsewhere in scripture are testimonies that Jesus rose from the dead. (And by the way, even stolen bodies don't explain the eye witness reports of Jesus alive, speaking, teaching, and eating. )

Dude where do you get your information from?

The soldiers did guard Jesus's body so that no one could steal it away, but the Bible also talks about Jesus rising again.

Be careful though cause the Bible also warns those who take away from God's word or add to it.

Rev. 22:18-19
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God wil take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

Obviously you are more enlightened 2000 years later looking back than anyone who has come before, did the Holy spirit or an Angel reveal this to only you? Maybe you should write another book and start your own Religion. You can make it anything you wish, you can make it fit your desires and needs. You would not be the first.

You can believe as you wish, as for my family, we shall follow God.

No..Pilate thought that they would, but that didnt happen, and you cannot "trick" the Roman Guards, they were far too disciplined for that, The penalty for dereliction of duty back then for a Roman Soldier was death.

1) it was a 2 ton boulder, impossible for a few men to move.

2) how did they not wake the guards?

3) if they did steel it, why would the become martyrs for something they knew was not true?

NO, they didn't read the account. Jesus arose from the dead. Nobody stole His body, for He was seen by multitudes after His resurrection. Read the gospels.

This theory has been around for 2000 years. Seriously, to overpower Roman soldiers (who would of been executed if someone did steal the body & they failed to watch their post), just to concoct a theory & then most of them die for that theory?

This is highly unlikely...if not impossible. I don't know of anyone who would die for something they knew was a lie.

The passage you are quoting does not prove your statement at all, it disproves it! You can find a quote similar to that in the real Bible too.
