They are not all that way. The ones you know who do it - usually hang around with women who allow it - or are oblivious to it. Let men know upfront that you do not put up with such a thing. As soon as you catch a guy in a lie - or get an inkling that they are cheating -let them know you don't put up with it and move on. There are too many women who don't want to accept the fact that a guy is lying/cheating and so they just keep hanging around. As long as the "mean guys" have those kinds of women - they'll keep on lying and cheating. Don't be one of those women. Have some self esteem and stand up for what you deserve - which is an honest, caring man.

men who lack a moral fiber act out like being mean or cheating and lying are some of the most common signs. but the bottom line it comes down to is insecurity. usually caused by something in there childhood, which is best explored by a physiologist. unfortunately most men will never admit it so your best bet is to find a man who is true secure in his man hood. It's not a question as to why are guys mean, it's a question as to what are you doing to make them become mean to you. Humans by nature are kind and loving. Now it depends on the circumstances that make anyone mean.
Most guys are not mean, they are just guarded. Guys don't ever like to be vulnerable, open without an exit. Out of 90% o guys you meet on the street, are nice to everyone. (some more that others). But if you start asking questions and they don't know you, especially personal questions, or questions about their family, and like a switch, their defense radar goes up and all of the sudden you think they are mean to you.
For example, if you know a guy that you think is mean to you, try to observe him with his friends and you;ll see him being nice. Even a beter example obser him with his girlfriend and see how he treats her. He feels comfortable with her and will tell her anything. Now with you, he'll be mean because "he doesn't know you like that."
Guys don't open up to complete stangers and tend to stand their ground no matter what. This is why you can't compare males to females and want them to be the same. Since guys will stand their ground, to you they will come out as being mean...

I'm a guy and I have never cheated or lied to the one person I love.......I can only say maybe their stupid and don't know what they want in the relationship. Most like all they want is.......well you can fill in the blank. I don't dwell on that kind of stuff I just talk to my girlfriend (we're connected at heart). But yeah their just stupid (girls can be too). It just differs with each person, because you may think like I do.......I love to just hang out and talk.

Shouldn't generalize to just guys, women do the same. However, most of the time we lie to protect your feelings. Not to justify it, but that's the truth. Granted, we shouldn't do anything to hurt your feelings but then that would make us perfect. No one's perfect.
