She was recently spayed and had to wear an Elizabethan Collar. She keeps licking her paw and rubbing that one ear. Now there is no hair on it. This has happened in 10 days time.

Cats can actually loose patches of hair in one day. My vet explained to me that if they have a wound or irritation their hair follicles can actually shut down and release the hair, and because the area is usually itchy or irritated they scratch it making the hair fall out faster.

As mentioned above she could have ear mites (look for black or brown substance in the ears). Also she could be like my cat who is very allergic to Fleas. If he gets bit once then he often looses a patch of fur around the bite area. This almost always happens after we go to the vet because he gets bit by the large number of fleas at the vet's. Often times the skin looks perfectly smooth and fine where the hair has fallen out.

Usually his hair starts growing back in in about 2 wks and it takes a month or two for it to fully regrow. However, until your totally sure what is causing it I would take her to the vet's office. I know its expensive but they will often work out payment plans with you. Good luck and I hope here fur grows in quickly. Also those collars are ridiculous my other cat had to wear one after surgery once. :-)

Have you checked her ears for ear mites or infection? My cat got mites at one point and the hair on her ears disappeared from the scratching.

Put some antibiotic cream on its ear. When she tastes it on her paw while trying to clean herself she probably will not like the taste of it and leave it alone.
