As well as keeping in touch by internet and phone I'd suggest you send some real letters and packets in the post. It's so exciting to get a real letter to open and read and keep. If you feel like you're saying everything you need to by internet, just send a card with your feelings on it!
You could also arrange to do stuff together apart, like go see the same film or read the same book so that you have more to talk about...

Write him a letter every day (not an email although that is nice too) and try as hard as you can to see him and your relationship will flourish

write him letters, paint him pictures, write poems and send them by snail mail. text and write often. talk on the phone.
it is unlikely you will be able to keep it together.
