Christians believe they're better because they think they have all the answers. They think that they're special because they know things that non-christians don't. Christians are raised to be judgemental and to think that everyone else needs "saving" and that only Christians have the power to save souls. That's why..

The Bible teaches that there is one true God and that Jesus Christ is His son.
It says that "nobody shall come to the Father except through the Son".
That is, the only way to get to Heaven is to be a Christian.
The Bible does not accept the validity of other religions since it teaches that there is only one God, and hence that is the God of the Bible.
In that way it could be said that Christians think they are better than everybody else because they believe that they are the only people who are worshipping the one true God via His son and hence they are the only people going to Heaven.
In the Christian view of things, there are no Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Seikhs, etc in Heaven since these religions do not worship Jesus and are hence, in the Christian view, false religions.
BTW, Jesus would not have proclaimed that "Christians are the best" since the term "Christians" did not exist in his lifetime! He was not out to further His own agenda or make Himself famous - He was being the messenger of His Father and proclaiming the glory of God.

by way of fact they're interior maximum folk, a minimum of in the U.S. in view that maximum everyone seems to be Christian there, they think of that provides them the superb to ignore approximately or harass or condemn non-Christians. It would not, yet that majority comes right down to "risk-free practices in numbers" and provides them a pretend experience of superiority. they don't have that superb, and that they are not extra useful than everyone else, they only think of they're. in my opinion, i've got accepted some nasty Christians, yet only as many style non-Christians. faith would not make a guy or woman "stable" or "undesirable". the guy does that, and there are a--holes in each walk of existence, non secular or no longer.

I'm a Christian and I don't think I'm better than anyone at all !! In fact,Jesus said "consider OTHERS better than yourself". All people are sinners if we are honest with ourselves and God sees us as all the same.....people that He loves and sent his Son to die for so our sin would not be held against us if we believe in Him! If you run into Christians that make you feel that they are better than you, than there is a problem with them because Jesus made people feel God's love and forgiveness even while he convicted them of their sins. Lets face it,people are insecure and some of them use their Christianity to make themselves feel "above" others. If they are honest with themselves, they will remember that God saved them from their sin and they need to not make others feel like they are beneath them.
Hope this helps you! I pray that you will soon see how much Jesus cares about you! Merry Christmas! P.S. Jesus did'nt say Christians are the best..he just said they are saved if they accept him!!

I don't think that we think that we are better than anyone else, but we do think that we are better off than anyone else. To be a Christian the prerequisite is the undersanding that you are a sinner, and so Christians do not think that they are better, because we are all sinners. However because we come to God we receive eternal life and so we certainy are better off than non believers, no matter what we go through on this earth for a few years we have an eternity in Heaven waiting for ut.

Christians do not think they are better than everybody. If you would get to know us you would see that. Usually the person who thinks that Christians think they are better than everyone else is someone trying to justify why they don't believe in the Lord.

First I would like to say God Bless you! I agree with mortgagegirl101. You are generalizing (stereotyping) ALL Christians into one group. This is not only unfair to those of us who follow the laws of individual thinking, but also inaccurate for those who understand that no two people, Christian or otherwise, have identical beliefs and/or values. As a Christian (definition - one who believes in Christ) I am no better than any other being, human or not. I am only forgiven of my sins through faith in Christ - whom I believe died for my salvation. This does not by any means make me 'perfect' or 'better than' (holier than) thou. It merely means I'm forgiven based on my acceptance of God's grace. I would also like to state that Sahara is misinformed. Again, generalizing ALL Christians into a group of people who believe animals have no souls. That is untrue in my case. I believe animals are part of the same group of 'beings' as humans. We are all (living things) part of Christ's blessed creatures. God created EVERY living thing, human and animal. It would be impossible to say that something living, which was created by God is without a soul. How else could it come into existence and be favored by God? Please - understand that Christians are only human, just like non-Christians. None of us are perfect or better than anyone else. Christians are just people, who - through their personal faith in Jesus Christ, are forgiven. Again - I'd like to say God Bless You! Have a marvelous day!

Not all of us do. I don't.
I'm not perfect, and I'm not better than anyone else. Only difference between Christians and non-Christians is that Christians have been forgiven!

Where not.
We ask Jesus Christ to save us. We are a saved human not a lost human.
If I have made you feel that way. [forgive me]
We all need to make sure we are going to Heaven Thur the Blood of Jesus Christ.
