That he is moving on in one way or the other and expects you too as well. Never a good thing. Put it right up side the comment "can't we just be friends".

Love and like are two different things love is head over hills and like is interested or very interested however like can grow into love with time or maybe not. a person doesn't really have to love you instantly to like you. just see where it goes and if it doesn't turn into love then move on. there's someone out there that will love you like you need to be loved..

Why would you want him to commit himself with a "love you" when a "like you" works as well or is there something going on here we're not hearing about?
Love is a commitment that is endearing. like would be what it says, Like you.

that mean that he is not trying to be serious and that he likes you only when he wants something from you but honestly just talk to him about it if he don't love you and its been a wile you been with him hunny time to run he will hurt you don't get attached to him
