No, your grandpa has no right to discipline you with a belt. You need to talk to your parents about it. Your grandpa has the right to discipline you in other ways, but not with physical violence. He can send you to your room or not let you watch T.V., or something along those lines. If my Mom or Dad ever hit my kids with a belt, or anything else for that matter, they would have to answer to me about it.
I don't even hit my kids. There's other ways to discipline that are effective.

With a belt, no; but if you did something wrong he does have the right to talk to you about it.

Do your parent's use a belt on you as a form of discipline? If not, you should tell your parents. Times have changed and they type of behavior is not recommend, even though I was spanked a couple times with a belt when I was younger.

You can also talk to your grandfather. Tell him that he should have talked rather than resorting to violence. Remember, your grandfather is doing what he thinks is best and I'm sure he has good intentions for your well being.

Take care.

If you are minor then the grandpa in the absence of parents do have the right for looking after you otherwise not but we should not forget that listening to the advised of your since res seasoned ones is always fruit full. No doubt people take it as interference in the liberties but in fact it is not so because after hearing advice the choice still remains of yours.

It depends on what the phone call was about. If you were calling your friends or girlfriend then he should not have done it. If you were calling a1-900 number, prank call or long distance calls, then I say yes, he is within his right.

No I don't think that is right........hes not your parent...and its not up to him to give you a spanking......talk to your parents...and tell them.......you really do not want him disciplining you...

I think there should be some boundaries there....
