What implications does this have on the "very foundation of christianity"? I like Jesus christ as a person when I think that he had actually died for the sins of man!!! But what would the difference be if he was human or not? He died, right? So if he was human and sacrificied his life for the sake of mankind don't you think life would have been normal? Why make him the Son of God?

None. There would be no implications. Facts rarely get in the way of religious belief. Jesus might not have even existed. The stuff written about him was written decades after he supposedly died. His actual life really had little to do with what was ultimately written.

Well, there was a lot of that "son of god dies young as sacrifice for the people" stuff going around at the time.

Paul was heavily influenced by the pagan religions of the time.

To call someone a "son of God" meant something very different in the Old Testament when compared to what it means today.

if Jesus was only a human being there would be no Christianity.....but he was not.....
the fact that Jesus died for our sins is important....but, if He wasn't God come in the flesh, His death would have no meaning.
There are many "dead" gods in many religions.
the most important thing to remember is that Jesus rose again from the dead.....additional proof that He is God and all He said and all He did is TRUTH and has real meaning.
If Jesus was not God, and is not God today, there would be no salvation for mankind.
Jesus IS the Son of God and one with the Father.

Thats the beauty of the life of Christ! He was a normal human being even though he was truly the Son of GOD!!

The difference is this:

If he was a normal human, He wouldn't have risen from the dead.
Also, "Why make him the son of God?"
Because that is the claim that had him crucified in the first place. If he thought he was a normal person, he would've never been killed for claiming to be the Son of God.

If he wasn't the Son of God, do you think he would've held true to a lie that only brought him torture and death?

Much of what was written in the christian bible was either changed, erased or altered in some way to allow more control of the chuch over the masses. To understand the true life of this Great Master, you must look to other sources, like The Mystical Life of Jesus by Dr. H Spencer Lewis. After reading this book you will begin to see the Light and better understand The Law of One.

Then we are all doomed. There is no hope for anyone. The parasite known as sin is passed through the male line. So, everyone with a human father has sin. Jesus had no human father, so he was without sin.

So what if Jesus was a normal human being?

he is , but one of the best of mankind, since he was an honorable prophet of god (peace be upon him).

If Jesus was a normal human, then He could not be the sacrifice to take our sins away.

The sacrifice had to be perfect (sinless), and no person with a human mother and father is perfect.

No one realizes that he did not kill himself, so he did not sacrifice himself. He was killed. So, in actuality, it was the people (Romans, Jews) who killed him who were the movers and shakers in this story. Just like any other human or animal sacrifice throughout the millennia of human history, Jesus was the sacrifice. The best he could be considered is a martyr, not much more
