It's been atleast 8 years since I had a kitten and I forgot how old they have to be. And yes I did call the vet but the line was busy thismorning.
She will be 4 months old on December 9th.

we tend to recommend that a female cats are spayed at 6 months old or has reached an appropriate weight usually over 2 kg.
we do not like to spay earlier as the blood vessels are very small and hard to ligate. there is an increased chance of heamorrhage from the vessels.
most vets will recommend this age, some do differ but this is a good age to do the procedure.

The vet will usually not do it until she is at least 6 months old, I would not wait longer than 6 months though because the longer you wait the more traumatic it is for the kitty.

Mine had it done the day before I picked her up and she was 12 weeks old when I got her. Many vets will do it as soon as they're over 3lbs I believe it is.

My vet said before the cat is a year old. Earlier is better though.

Spaying can be done at 16 weeks, first vaccination-9 weeks, second vaccination at 12 weeks.

i had mine spayed at 4 months. it's cheaper if it's done before they get their first heat. and that can happen around 6 months.
