It is good. Fluoride interferes with the metabolism of the bacteria that are normally found in your mouth and cause bad breath and tooth decay and other sorts of disorders. It may be bad since the same fluoride can also interfere with the cells in the mucous lining of your mouth... but I haven't heard of anything similar

Fluoride mouthwash is neither that good nor that bad. As a dentist we're taught not to recommend mouthwashes because people think that because their breath smells fresh that their mouth is clean. Fluoride can kill some bacteria, but if the bacteria is protected by plaque then it won't do anything.
If your brushing/flossing technique is correct, then by all means use fluoride mouthwash to remineralise the surface of your enamel. Try to avoid alcohol containing m/w as it can irritate your mucosal lining over a period of time.

I am 65 and fluoride wasn't around when I was young and dental problems were much worse.
My children have perfect teeth (after orthodontic) But none have ever had cavities.
I credit that to the fact that their schools had fluoride programs weekly when they were adolescents.
I say it is definitely beneficial.
