My father is now dead, and i miss him very much. I get on with my mother but she is very old. Enjoy both parents as much as you can all you people out there. There comes a day when they leave this planet and its very hard.

Hey my middle name's Anya, thus my sign in name The Fray and Anya.

I bought a badge that says "I Love Mum" once and my brother asked me why not "I Love Dad". It's simple really. Mothers and sons will always love each other and fathers and daughters. From Greek times (though Oedipus/Electra complex may be extreme) So I needed do something to remind me I loved my mother becuase we eat each other's nerves up. I still say that's cause we're so similar and we never got over each other. (We share the same birthday so I was her best birthday present) On a thesis level I rule: boys would always relate more their fathers and daughters more with their mothers becuase if your genes are strong, that's just the way it is.

I get along better with my mom. Besides my husband, she's my best friend. My mom and dad got divorced when I was just 2 or 3. My dad is an alcoholic and never did anything too much for me. I remember being forced to go visit him and my stepmom and he would always badmouth my mom, but my mom would never say anything negative, or let me say anything negative about my dad (even though she is the one that left him). He always paid child support, but he only called twice a year - once for my birthday and once for Christmas. All of a sudden when my dad stopped drinking he wanted a relationship with me, but I was already past that. At this point, I don't talk to him very often since we just don't have too much in common. I don't hate him, but I just don't have any feelings for him at all. Every time I talk to him on the phone, my stepmom gets on the phone and starts crying and will keep me on the phone for 1 1/2 hours, so I just avoid talking to them. We haven't spoken in a few years and I would be fine if I never had to talk to him again. I guess I need to call him and let him know that he has a 4 month old granddaughter, but it makes me physically sick to my stomach to think about calling them. I can't deal with my mellodramatic stepmom and I'm likely to pinch my baby to make her cry just to have an excuse to get off the phone. Just kidding - I wouldn't actually pinch my baby.

I was raised in a loving home w/ both of my parents, who are still happily married. I tend to get along better with my dad. I love my mom to death and I do get along w/ her most of the time but we have very different personalities and different views on many, many subjects. I do feel closer to her since I became a mother but I'll always be a daddy's girl.

Mother, she is my best friend. I haven't talked to my father in a couple of years. He was mentally abusive to me growing up and still to this day he thinks I am to dumb to take care of myself. I am fixing to get married and I plan on inviting him, unless he starts his sh*t. My mother has got me through all of this and she has always been there for me, no matter what.

Neither, my father's never been around and my mother has made a point of being distant since I was born.
