Lots of religions think they are special. Sometimes they think they are God's chosen ones (ie they will be saved and no-one else). It's almost a "prize" for following that religion - an incentive if you like. Don't worry about it - if Hindus think they're special a. they're not the only ones and b. it shouldn't worry YOU

totally not sure why this question was asked... why would u say that hindu ppl arent special? u had a bad experience with a hindu person? if so i dont think u should generalise and put all hindu ppl in the same category! its quite rude to be honest...
its like saying that ur not special... i'm sure u are in ur own ways.... dont take ur bitter anger out on everyone.

Probably for the same reasons christians, muslims and jews think they're "special".
In the US, all religious groups get special rights. Freedom from discrimination, their places of worship enjoy tax exempt status.
Personally, I don't think any religious group deserves special consideration and tax breaks.

same reason Christians, Jews, Budhists and Muslims think they are all that.....Oh and the "without faith" crowd too .....cos we all think we know better than our brother (or sister...dam those PC crowd!...cos they are in this too). We all want to feel special; it is the human flaw...but also the human drive....deal with it.
