is distance learning an option for me if I am in full time employment, married and do some extracirricular activities ie:sport, dancing etc...

You have to be more self-motivated to do distance learning.
You don't have a group (class) to help motivate you.
You have to be a little more determined. It is do-able
but you have to be the one with the initiative to complete
everything.

Distance Learning is more tough and difficult as one has to workout by self and get synopsis of subjects thereby enlarging the area of knowledge. Classroom learning is spoon feeding to maximum extent and one has to depend on lecturer to clarify subjects.
