Hey,

I had a TB shot yesterday and it is still red and round. Its, approx. 2 cm. Is it possible that it will go away before I get it read? I had a TB 5 weeks ago and I didn't have a red mark or anything back then. Can someone help me please. I am gettin kinda scared. Thanks in advance

Its the mark just red or is it raised? If its just red, that will go away. Its all in teh person who does the test. Some are better than others if you get my drift... If its raised, you can feel a bump when you rub your hand over it then be concerned. Even if tehy say its positive, they'll do a Chest Xray and if its negative which most likely will be they will say your a carrier. You can carry a disease and never get it. Email me if you need more info! Hope this helps

Don't be scared. It may or may not go away before it is read, but even if it doesn't you will be catching this early and treatment is much improved over the years. TB is not the death sentence that it was 100 years ago either, so don't be afraid it will be fine.

yes, this happened to me a couple of times. Dont worry about the red mark. You only got it done yesterday. Hell, it took about 4or5 days for mine to go away. I got real scared. They measure the swelling where they gave the needle. It will swell just a little than by the third day it should be fine. Dont worry hon, your fine.

it will go away eventually, if its that large it might take a while.
You have to get it read two days after the injection because that's usually when you would get the largest response.
