i went out with an old highschool chum andhes nice but he bugs me all the time,,i cant get anything done,,i dont want to give him the brush off i like him alot,,but too much is too much

have you talked to him and explained how you need some space cause if you see him 24/7 you guys cant grow and how you need time to do your own thing

Be truthful: tell him to his face that your relationship is going nowhere and your not interested. Don't give him any reason to not believe you, don't give him a maybe or next week, tell him "NO" and "BYE" those two words. That's the only thing that's going to work.

I would just tell him when your busy that you will call him back or whatever.. If you need time alone, tell him that..Reassure him that you like him alot but there are just times you need to be alone to get things done..

tell him you need space. tell him you need to get your things done. and after when you get it done you will see him. don't brush him off just be honest with him.
