I seem to meet girls and all goes well but i go away and they forget about me sorta or some ponce in a white shirt comes along. I'm away for two then home for three, anyone in the same boat, or equally unlucky in love. I don't mean to sound like a Moaner or anything just asking lol

You're around for three whole weeks at a time, morning, noon and night. Sounds like a lot of time to get to know someone... As they say - absence makes the heart grow fonder - but it seems not in your case. Maybe you will have to make the three weeks you do have at your disposal more exciting, meaningful, memorable, and, don't forget to ask how your three -week friends feel about not seeing you for a short time while you earn a good living, help the national economy and otherwise do what a guy has to do.
Put a white shirt on and go for it...

Hay long distance relationships work. My hubby works away and we haven't seen him for 4wks, time off isn't always guaranteed for us either. We make the best of it. I would never think about walking away from him, this is how we live I have to accept it.
People live in all sorts of ways, my cousin is in Iraq and we dont know when we will see him again, so I think myself very lucky.

I believe there is someone for everyone, that's one of the reasons why we 're here. Stop saying to yourself you are unlucky in love, or you will remain so. Put in your mind, (and out to the Universe) that you will find that right person, and she'll be there. Jus believe it enough. MAKE it happen!
