I don't mean any offense to non-christians, its just, I already know what the biological answer is; its based on the thinking that all fetuses start out as female and then the female characteristics shrink as it develops, but I wondered what the diving purpose was.

I don't understand what men having nipples has to do with Christianity. Men have nipples because foetuses develop nipples before their genitalia and reproductive organs form. This means that they have nipples before they have a gender.

Real answer: Because all mammal fetuses are initially female only the genitalia develops otherwise due to the y chromosome.
Nipples are simply gender neutral, they only have purpose in females as they develop into more complex organs.

I'm not trying to be obscene either, but I think men have nipples for sexual pleasure. I cannot think of any other reason for God to create men with nipples.
