America because I have been born here, lived here, and am familiar with the culture and history. It doesn't matter where you are. Life is as good as you want it to be.

America. It's my home. I have never been to England so I have to say America. Honestly, it's awesome. There is a good feeling about being patriotic and believing in your country. I love America. It's to bad that people have a negative opinion of America because of some poor decisions that out president has made. It is a good place and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I know nothing about America apart from what I see on the TV and read in newspapers etc. As a Briton, it seems to me that America as a very young country beginning to assert its' financial and military/political/moral order on the world -empire! It disturbs me that there appears to be a fundamental Christian majority demanding that people live their lives in a very restrictive way and that any individuality is rejected and attacked. For this reason, amongst others, I would not choose to live in America.
Britain is far more relaxed and accepting of difference, has a diverse and creative population and most importantly, we are able to laugh at ourselves. Further, we have lived through the days of empire and have learned valuable lessons from the experience, specifically tolerance of difference.

I have never lived in England so I really can't say. I think it would be awesome to live there for a little while though. If you have never lived out of the US it is great to do it if you have that opportunity. I live in Germany at the moment but there are many things about the US I really miss. Getting a chance to travel abroad is a great eye opener. It gives you the chance to see how the rest of the world does things.

Certainly not out in The Colonies - I hear you can catch diseases there and that it's a bit culturally 'backward'. They also apparently have the audacity to think they are independent nowadays.
However when it comes to Britain, give me Scotland over England anytime.

America because you have more rights and priviledges than in England and the climate is more varied (California, Hawaii, New England).
Cheaper to live as well...
