Because they pick and choose what parts they want to follow depending on the situation, ignoring obvious contradictions and ridiculously outdated thinking

>Either take it all, or leave it all, you can't Choose what you like, because it's ALL from God as you claim.
I don't claim its all from God, nor do many Christians (like, let's see, the one's who didn't get a bound Bible as an infant but who recieved a revered letter from Paul - they didn't run around waving it in the air saying "Look everyone! A letter that will be in the Bible in 300 years! God must have directed Paul's thoughts to be infallible in this letter, though not the letter we got last year") so I don't have a problem with that.
Christianity is not based on the Bible. It is based on the person of Jesus Christ. Does that make it harder to define? Sure. Is reality constructed to make things easy to define? Nope.

Hmmm, how about coming over for a nice, old-fashioned bbq? Just ignore the stake in the front lawn.
Seriously, are really suggesting we go out and kill people? You have a problem if we don't and you have a problem if we do. If we follow every law in the bible to the very letter, we wouldn't be living. Half of what technology brought us would be against the bible (clock, calender, computer). We wouldn't talk to anyone or be around anyone. Instead of condemning us for not killing people, why don't you just admit we've stepped forward beyond complete blind hate.

The sin of Sodomy is not going to stop by killing Sodomites. Sin will not be dealt a final blow until after Jesus comes again. Besides, some of the best people(Christians, Jews etc) are Sodomites. If were going to kill them then will have to kill fornicators as well, which pretty much takes in about 90% of the population.John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Since you are speaking to Christians, I assume by "Testament" you mean the New Testament. Romans 1: 24-27 speaks of lesbians (vs. 26) and homosexuals (vs. 27). Verse 28 goes on to say that "God gave them over to a reprobate mind." However, nowhere in the N.T. are we told that such people are to be killed.

I'm a Christian and I totally agree with you....I've always struggled with this very issue...I mean the book of Leviticus says women on their periods need to kept away in isolation because they are unclean (personally , I think it's because they were acting b*tchy haha). Yet, no one abides by this, obviously. Yet, Christians are always freaking out over homosexuality, saying how wrong it is. I dont believe a gay person chooses to be so..I think theyre born that way...but the beliefs I was raised upon contradict that ......yeah, it's all confusing to me also...Hey, found the verse you may be referring to...Leviticus 20:13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Interesting...

Can you please give me a verse from the bible that says that believers should kill Homosexuals....? God said there is a penalty of death, AIDS is also contracted by homosexuals and is also contracted by straight people, and most straight people who get it are promiscuous and disobeying God's law of fornication. However it is contracted by homosexuals all the same and causes death, gay bashing done by homophobes cause death.
26That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.
27And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved.
28When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done.
29Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.
30They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents.
31They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving.
32They are fully aware of God's death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

Jesus would not condone the killing of anyone, He said to do good to one another not evil, the problem though many of us is that we don`t always practice what we preach and it is all too easy to talk the walk without actually doing what Christ said.

if you dont know the changes since the old to new testament, then dont go about sprouting nonsense here. the old testament was about the standards which mankind had failed to keep, hence Jesus came to show us salvation and grace. read the Bible ya?

..they shall surely be put to death.. Does not mean we are supposed to go and kill them. I would take it as meaning that they are dead to God. If they repent and live a Christian life they can go to heaven just as anyone else.
